Elevate you DSLR, mirrorless camera, or compact cinema camera with the ready-to-fly xFold Cinema x12 Multi-Rotor with U7 Motors. This version of the xFold comes with a default configuration of x12, but can be reconfigured as a quad, hexa, x8 or x12 to best serve your requirements. Once you are done shooting for the day, the prop arms and legs fold up for easy transport..

This ready-to-fly (RTF) bundle is designed to function as a nearly complete system. To start, it includes a 3-axis brushless gimbal for cameras, such as the Alexa mini or Red Epic, weighing up to 8 pounds. For high quality monitoring from the cinema camera, there is a 1080p60 HD downlink plus there is an SD resolution FPV camera with 5.8G video transmitter for the benefit of the pilot. An OSD module enables the pilot to see key flight data superimposed over the FPV image (receiver and FPV goggles available separately). For control, the multi-rotor incorporates a customized version of DJI’s A2 flight control system along with two advanced 14-channel transmitters – one for piloting and one dedicated to gimbal operation. Two 10,000 mAh flight batteries mean you’ll have a spare ready once the first runs out. Finally, there are two cases to pack the aircraft, gimbal, monitor, and the rest of the included accessories away in for transport or storage.

DJI A2 Flight Control System
    • The A2 flight control system is comprised of the main controller, IMU, GPS, PMU, and Bluetooth LED indicator

Main Controller

    • The aircraft’s equivalent of a CPU. The main controller takes pilot input and, factoring in data from the IMU, GPU, and other sources, instructs the ESCs at the motors. In addition, the A2 main controller incorporates a 2.4 GHz DR16 receiver which is compatible with Futaba FASST series and DJI DESST series transmitters (radio controllers). To connect peripherals, the main unit features a CAN-bus terminal with 12 output channels

IMU

    • The IMU, or inertial measurement unit, is the primary source of information used by the flight controller so that the aircraft can maintain a stable flying condition. It uses a combination of accelerometers and gyros to collect this data

GPS

    • The GPS allows the aircraft to keep track of where it is in two-dimensional flight. This enables various types of assisted flying not otherwise possible, such as keeping the aircraft in a fixed hover while shooting video. A high gain antenna mounts on the end of a stock installed on top of the frame

PMU

    • The power management unit (PMU) regulates power being fed to the flight controller and other components. It features voltage detection and alarming, and has an extendable CAN-bus port

LED Bluetooth Indicator

The LED-BTU-I module provides the USB and Bluetooth connectivity required so you can adjust various flight control parameters using a computer or mobile device. Bluetooth wireless communications can be extend using the 2.4G Bluetooth Datalink, which relays Bluetooth data over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for use with the iPad Ground Station, a waypoint-based autopilot mapping system
Intelligent Orientation Control (IOC)
On multi-rotor aircraft– as with airplanes–pressing “forward” on the transmitter (radio controller) moves the nose forward. However, because multi-rotors are largely symmetrical, it can be easy to lose track of which way the nose is pointing, causing the controls to become counter-intuitive. To avoid this, IOC–when enabled using the assistant software–defines movement relative to the pilot so that, for example, pressing forward will always result in the aircraft moving forward from the pilot’s perspective
Point of Interest (POI)
When the GPS signal is good, users can record the current position of the aircraft as a point of interest by a preset switch on the transmitter (radio controller). The aircraft can achieve a circling flight around the point of interest with the nose pointing at the POI in an area of 16.4 to 1,640′ radius, when the roll command is given. This function is ideal for shooting of a fixed or stationary object, creating an aerial tracking shot
Intelligent Landing Gear Function
Once you enable the Intelligent Landing Gear function in the assistant software, the landing gear will default at the lower position when the aircraft is on the ground. The system will also lower the landing gear in an emergency, the event of motor failure, or on auto landing, to protect the aircraft and gimbal. You can lower or retract the landing gear using a switch when the aircraft’s altitude is over 16.4′ from the ground
Return to Home Failsafe

Assuming the GPS has been properly calibrated and enough satellites are available, the aircraft will automatically return to its home point in the event contact with the transmitter (radio controller) is ever lost

It is also possible to assign a button using the assistant software that, when pressed, will cause the aircraft to automatically return to the home point

One-Motor Fail Protection
Available when the aircraft is in attitude or GPS attitude mode. In the event one motor fails the aircraft can maintain a stable flying condition, enough that it can safely be brought back home and landed

It also supports customized motor mixing, which greatly meets the demands of particular users.Intelligent Orientation Control (IOC)Usually, the forward direction of a flying multi-rotor is the same as the nose direction. By using Intelligent Orientation Control (IOC), wherever the nose points, the forward direction has nothing to do with nose direction.Point Of Interest (POI)A2 has a POI function: Point of Interest. When the GPS signal is good, users can record the current position of the aircraft as a point of interest by a preset switch on the remote control. The aircraft can achieve a circling flight around the point of interest with the nose pointing at the POI in an area of 5 meters to 500 meters radius, when the roll command is given. This function is easy to set and simple to operate, it is suitable for all-round shooting of a fixed scenic spot.Intelligent Landing Gear FunctionOnce you enabled the Intelligent Landing Gear function in the assistant software, the landing gear is default at the Lower position when the aircraft is on the ground; and the system will lower the landing gear in emergency, motor failure or auto landing, to protect the aircraft and gimbal; you can control to lower or retract the landing gear by a switch when the aircraft altitude is over 5m from the ground.Auto Return-To-Home /One-Key Go-HomeIf the multirotor and its controller disconnects during flight, the system’s failsafe protection will come to the rescue and if the signal is good enough, the multirotor will return to home and land automatically. You can also setup a One Key Go Home function to activate this feature manually.New “Banked Turn” ModeIn this mode, the roll and yaw sticks are combined to help you perform banked turns with only one hand. The aircraft can perform fixed-wing-like maneuvers, bringing a brand new flight experience. Normal and FPV aerial photography in this mode is smooth and simple, giving a different visual feel to your work.New Cruise Control FeatureActivate Cruise Control to lock your aircraft into its current horizontal speed when you release the control sticks. While cruising, the speed can be adjusted at any time through the remote controller. By maintaining steady flight, you can focus more on your shots and gimbal control and your total flight time is increased by eliminating unnecessary speed changes.Multi-Rotor One-Motor Fail ProtectionThis function means that when the aircraft is in attitude or GPS attitude mode and one of the motors stops, the aircraft will retain good attitude and rotate around the frame arm with the stopped motor. In this condition, the aircraft is still under control and returns home safely and highly reducing the risk of a crashKey FeaturesConfiguration: Drone OnlyDrone Type: Quadcopters3-Axis GimbalWhat’s in the box:xFold Cinema X8 RTF KDE Drone3 Axis Brushless Gimbal for Cinema Cameras and Cine-Lenses (Red Epic/ Alexa Mini and Similar Size)DJI A2 Flight ControllerData OSD Telemetry8x Motors (Special KV for Better Performance) + ESCs8x 16″ Carbon Fiber PropellersFull HD FPV Video Downlink for Cameras Operator5.8 FPV Video Downlink + CCD Camera for Pilot2x xFold 8FGS 1Industrial 14 Channel Radio2x Travel Cases2x 6s 10000mah Lipo BatteriesxFold WarrantyxFold Drone SpecificationsCompatibilityProfessional level aerial cinematographyLoad Capacity45lbs / 20.41kgRecommended CamerasDSLR, RED, Alexa Mini, C500, F7sChangeable FrameQuad, Hexa, x8 or x12 configurationsPropeller size16 to 18″ / 40.64 to 45.72cmBattery Type6s Lipo batteriesBattery power10000mahA2 Peripheral Supported Multi-RotorQuad-Rotor: +4,x4;Hex-Rotor +6,x6,Y6,Rev Y6;Octo-Rotor +8,x8,V8″A2 Peripheral Supported ESC Output400Hz refresh frequencyA2 Peripheral Supported TransmitterFutaba FASST Series and DJI DESST SeriesReceiverSupported: Futaba S-Bus, S-Bus2, DSM2A2 Peripheral Recommended Battery2S to 6S LiPoA2 Peripheral Operating Temperature-5 to 60 deg.
